Who is Akamai Events?
We are a small group of long-time Big Island residents that beleive in giving back to our communities. We volunteer much of the time it takes to search for an enter events.

To bring you an up-to-date listings of the many diverse events on the Big Island of Hawaii. There is much going on that many people never discover.
We hope that by bringing many events together in one one website that more people learn about these amazing events and attend.

How do I submit my event to Akamai Events?
Go to http://www.akamaievents.com/add-an-event
We accept only public events that are held in public venues on Hawaii Island. We offer free event listings for not-for-profits and paid listings for businesses.
What are the requirments for a listing?
We require the following information: Name of event, description of event, time and date of event, contact person, email, phone, physical address (must be a public location) of event and ticket information (if apllicable.)
How do I save events to my google calendar?
From an iphone or mac device or computer the event should save automatically to your calendar. If you are having trouble with an adroid or PC please consult this link https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37118?hl=en
How accurate is event info?
We proofread and fact check all of our listings. Mistakes and human error happen. If you notice something that you know is not accurate please contact us!
In my event listing is my email address safe from spammers?
We use special software that cloaks email address from spambots so that it cannot be collected.
