We offer small businesses effective and economical advertising and free event listings for non-profit organizations.
We list events from all over the Big Island on our site and share to our social media.

To bring you an up-to-date listings of the many diverse events on the Big Island of Hawaii. There is much going on that many people never discover.
We hope that by bringing many events together in one one website that more people learn about these amazing events and attend.

How do I submit my event to Akamai Events?
Go to http://www.akamaievents.com/add-an-event
We accept only public events that are held in public venues on Hawaii Island. We offer free event listings for not-for-profits and paid listings for businesses.
We require the following information: Name of event, description of event, time and date of event, contact person, email, phone, physical address (must be a public location) of event and ticket information (if applicable.)
We request that if you receive a free listing from us that you help us spread the Aloha by visiting our website, sharing our posts on Facebook, asking us about an ad exchange or telling your friends about us.
How do I save events to my google calendar?
From an iphone or mac device or computer the event should save automatically to your calendar. If you are having trouble with an adroid or PC please consult this link https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37118?hl=en
How accurate is event info?
We proofread and fact check all of our listings. Mistakes and human error happen. If you notice something that you know is not accurate please contact us!
In my event listing is my email address safe from spammers?
We use special software that cloaks email address from spambots so that it cannot be collected.
Note: AkamaiEvents.com recognizes the use of diacritical markings of the (modern) Hawaiian language including the ‘okina [‘] and the kahako [-].
We recognize the importance of using these to preserve the language and culture of Hawai‘i and respectfully uses them whenever possible.
