OK Farms stands for Olson and Keolanui.  Located alongside the historic Wailuku river in Hilo, long blessed with sufficient rainfall and used for agriculture for over 100 years.  OK Farms specializes in high-quality tree crops such as coffee, macadamia nuts, cacao, hearts of palm, and a wide variety of citrus, tropical fruits and spices. The farm has doubled in size to over 1,000 acres.

Original Hawaiian Chocolate

Greenwell Farms

Come up mauka and see how the coffee harvesting season is progressing. Greenwell Farms offers farm tours continuously from 8:30am through 4:30pm Monday through Sunday.

Take an interesting personal walking tour of coffee fields and the processing facilities, enjoy free samples of various coffee products, and see a working Hawaiian farm. Learn about each stage of production of Kona Coffee. Greenwell Farms is located at 81-6581 Mamalahoa Highway Kealakekua   Directions

Tours will run continuously from 8am through 4:30pm Monday through Sunday.

Every Thursday The Kona Historical Society practices the traditional art of baking Portuguese bread in a large wood-fired forno, located in the pasture below the H.N. Greenwell Store Museum. Staff and people from the community get together to talk story, roll dough, and bake the bread, which is also available for purchase in the afternoon.

Comfort Tips
Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your tour time to complete the check in process. We are a Food Safety Certified operation and require every guest to sign in.
Our factory provides a clean, germ free environment for our mushrooms, therefore we ask all guests to arrive, with clean clothes, shoes, hands, hair and
free of illness, (such as colds or coughs) to minimize the impact to the growing environment. We reserve the right to protect our delicate mushroom
eco-system and may deny entry to those who present a risk.
 
Cancellation Policy
There is no charge for reservations cancelled prior to 48 hours (2 days) before the reserved tour date. Any cancellations within 48- 24 hours will be
accessed a 50% tour charge per person. Cancellations made day of tour will be non-refundable.

Upcountry Tea

 Vanilla teaChoice of one of four Vanilla Teas – Our Vineyard Blend, Vanilla Cinnamon’s are our black tea selection. Emma Blossom named after our daughter is a green tea which very floral in it’s bouquet, and finally our herbal vanilla rain forest rooibos.
Welcome Champagne Toast or Spiced Mulled Wine depending on the season
Your Amuse is a vanilla butter garam marsala shrimp served on a crustini topped with vanilla pineapple chutney and sits on a bed of black sea salt from Kauai and chives from our garden.
Next demi course is an organic salad topped with a vanilla raspberry balsamic dressing, honey peppered pecans and feta cheese, a vanilla pumpkin coconut bisque with curried croutons and a parmesan crisp.
Followed by The Tower of Delight, First floor tart lets stuffed with bree cheese, vanilla caramelized onions and topped with a vanilla mango chutney. Vanilla cream cheese puffed pastry topped with a vanilla pepper jelly. Second floor bread pudding topped with Hawaiian Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and a vanilla rum butter topping, and vanilla lilikoi pound cake with a vanilla lilikoi curd for dipping.
